The 2023 Aftco Angler of the Year competition race intensifies!
The points tally has been calculated following the Hobie Bass Open Series, anchored by POWER POLE TOTAL BOAT CONTROL St. Croix Rods – Explore La Crosse Mississippi River event. The Top 10 rankings remain largely unchanged, with Ewing Minor maintaining a substantial lead (still).
With only one Open series event left to contribute to this year’s Aftco AOY standings and Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualification, it’s crucial to sign up for the Marine Mat – Lake Sam Rayburn event. This is your opportunity to earn valuable points and potentially secure automatic entry to the TOC.
The roster reads like a who’s who of the finest kayak bass anglers in the USA, and soon we’ll know who will be joining their ranks this November.
If you’re new to the series and eager to participate, the Hobie Bass Open Series (HBOS) is designed to provide kayak anglers with the thrill of competitive tournament fishing. Our community thrives on camaraderie and sportsmanship, with respect for fellow anglers and the series being paramount.
HBOS welcomes participants with kayaks of all makes and follows a Catch, Photograph, and Release (CPR) tournament format. Can you handle the challenge of five casts, five fish? Put your skills to the test at round nine, the Marine Mat – Lake Sam Rayburn event taking place on September 23rd and 24th, 2023.
