Thanks you for your support at this event.  I want to remind all anglers to be careful tomorrow with rising and potentially swift water conditions.

Its a good idea to make sure to drain water out of your kayak.  Often when rained on while sitting on trailer or truck, boats don’t drain effectively and there could be water in your hull.

We have updated the times tomorrow:

6:00 AM Go Tim!

6:15 AM First Cast

3:00 PM Fishing Ends

3:30 PM Submission Deadline

You will set your clocks forward an hour Saturday night.

Awards for anglers still in town will be on Sunday around 4:30 pm.

Hobie College BOS,
Tournament Director

Attention anglers, we are adjusting time and format for this evenings process AND tomorrows start.  We will go over this in more details later.

We will still be setting up under the Lincoln’s Landing Pavillion.   This will potentially be in the middle of heavy rain and storms.  However we will set up earlier for potential windows and we will not be asking anglers to stay due to weather conditions.  We will be having a live broadcast meeting around 6.  It is the angler’s responsibility to watch the video.  This will be on the Facebook group page.

We will also be adjusting the times Saturday morning to allow there to be more light at launch than we traditionally use.  This makes sure anglers are able to see lingering storm cloud lines, as well as changes of the water they are launching into that will have drastically different conditions than the day before.

New Schedule-

430 – 6pm  ID Distribution and Board Check (Please dry your boards off)  Anglers are not expected to stay due to weather conditions.

6pm – Facebook live meeting to go over all event details of Saturday and this event.  Anglers do not need to stay to watch this in person at this event due to weather.

630pm- If there are any remaining anglers that need their boards checked, it will occur after the meeting.  Please do try to arrive in the earlier window if possible.

6:00 AM-  Anglers can launch if they feel comfortable due to pending weather at this time.

6:30 AM- First Cast

3:00 PM – Fishing Ends

3:30 PM – Submission Deadline

6:30 PM- Mandatory Meeting to go over the day, prepare for day 2 and distribute ID code.

Anglers will need to set clocks forward one hour on Saturday night for the time change.

Thanks for understanding and working with us through these challenging conditions.

Tournament Director

There will be no more additions to the list after Thursday night, only removal of ramps that are no longer public or available for the weekend.

There have been a few additions to this map this week-

– Some of the public launches have published/ official times that do not coincide with the event times. At no time or location can an angler launch before the Public opening of the facility, even if they are camping or staying there. The facility must be open and available to all to be usable.

– Please let me know know if you need anything and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow at the meeting!

Hobie College BOS,

Its the 3rd season of the Hobie BOS College Tour!  Let’s go!

Round 3 of the Hobie BOS College Tour will visit one of the most versatile fisheries in Alabama; Lake Logan Martin! This Coosa River chain lake is known for its unique fishing offerings and native black bass species, the Coosa Spot.   Not to be outdone, the Largemouth have been known to be major players on this fishery as well.  Mixing ample cover, docks, current and a time of year where fish move shallow, this one is bound to be a shootout and should be a fun and refreshing visit back to Alabama at this new to our series, lake and community!
