HOBIE BASS OPEN SERIES College Tour

Lake Chatuge stop on the Hobie BOS College Tour’s inaugural season! We’re being hosted by Lake Chatuge Lodge.

We look forward to growing this series with the help of all of you. It’s humbling to have you be a part of what we foresee as a successful opportunity for  collegiate -anglers to showcase their talents.

Entry Fee:

$70 per angler

Measuring Device: METAL KETCH BOARD ONLY (We will have a limited number for sale at registration for $70 cash)

Friday night’s registration will be held at Lake Chatuge Lodge 653 US-76, Hiawassee, GA 30546

Saturday’s awards will be held at Awards ceremony at Anderson Music Hall 1311 Music Hall Rd, Hiawassee, GA 30546

Event Timeline:

All times for this event will be Eastern Standard Time

May 16th –

Official practice period begins

May 19th –

8:00pm Registration closes

May 20th –

5:00 pm – Practice ends

6:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Registration at Lake Chatuge Lodge 653 US-76, Hiawassee, GA 30546

7:00 pm MANDATORY MEETING

May 21st –

6:00am – First launch

6:30 am – Fishing begins

2:30 pm – Fishing ends

3:30 pm – Submission deadline

4:30 pm – Awards ceremony at Anderson Music Hall 1311 Music Hall Rd, Hiawassee, GA 30546

Boundaries:

Any public access or ramp within the physical boundaries will be considered a legal launch. Anglers are not allowed to launch or fish beyond any physical boundary.

All water on Lake Chatuge is in bounds in both Georgia & North Carolina.

HBOS COLLEGE
In the 2nd Hobie Bass Open Series Anchored by Power-Pole Total Boat Control College Tour Event, Carson-Newman University(TN) came out on top. Their team’s best 5 fish overcame Emmanuel University(GA) and Campbellsville University(KY) on this beautiful mountain lake in Hiawassee GA.
Caz Anderson(CNU) was able to secure the 1st place Aftco award and Daiwa Big Bass with his strong performance.
Brooks Anderson (EU) earned 2nd place Aftco Award helping his team place 2nd as well. Ewing Minor(CNU) coming off a big Win on Broken Bow Lake, rounded out the top 3.
