A record breaking weekend at the Hobie BOS – Bass Open Series – Anchored by Power- Pole – on Lake Seminole has come to a close! 175 anglers from all over the country were part of the biggest Hobie BOS to date. Although weather conditions were tough, these amazing anglers showcased some huge Bass and mind blowing limits. Zack Hall and Joey Vanyo fishing their first Hobie BOS and visiting Lake Seminole for the first time had an impressive showing, but series veteran Bryan Howell stole the show with the largest 2- Day limit of bass the series has ever seen. All 3 of these anglers earned their automatic qualification to the 50 angler Tournament of Champions on Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, Alabama this November. 1st Place- Bryan Howell (TX) had 205.5″ for his 10 total Bass earning him $9,200. He also had a 23.5″ Largemouth that earned him Bassin Magazine Big Bass honors and $400. 2nd Place- Joey Vanyo (MN) had our first ever limit over 200″ with a total of 201.5″ and went home with a big 2nd place check worth $4,800.3rd Place- Zack Hall (MI) had a very consistent limit each day and earned himself $3,000 with an impressive 184.5″ for his best 10 Bass.
