Hobie Bass Open Series - Wolf & Fox River 2022

The AFTCO Angler of the Year Race for the Hobie BOS – Bass Open Series Anchored by Power-Pole Total Boat Control is heating up as we work towards out last Open of the year on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, AR.

While Cody Milton(AR) has been holding down the top spot all season, he has watched his closest competition narrow the margin drastically over the last 2 events.

Both Ewing(VA) and Nolan Minor(VA) secured their spot in the race with a 2nd and 1st place finish last month on the Susquehanna River event.

Kristine Fischer(NE) took over the 2nd spot applying real pressure to Cody with her 2nd place finish on the Wolf and Fox Rivers last weekend.  As well as 3rd place finisher Guillermo Gonzalez(TX) coming into the Top 10 and hoping to gain more ground at the final Open.

While the actual AOY race is becoming more clear with each event, it won’t be settled until all anglers compete against eachother over 3 days at the Tournament of Champions on Caddo Lake this November.

There are however still 22 AOY spots up for grabs to fill the TOC and that race is going to have some extra heat heading into Arkansas as there are some big names yet to qualify and on the bubble.

Updated AOY points and who has already qualified for the TOC can be found at: https://hobiebos.com/aftco-2022-angler-of-the-year/
