Event Info

Hello Hobie BOS Angler!

Welcome to Lake Pickwick out of Counce TN for the final stop on the 2021 BOS schedule.  Our first visit to this TN River fishery will present some amazing Largemouth and Smallmouth opportunities for our field.

Angler safety is of the utmost importance to us. Because of this we will maintain our covid protocols through this event to ensure our participants and staff members are as safe as possible. We will not host any official in-person gathering outside of our awards Sunday and we will not be able to feed our anglers like we had hoped.

Additionally, please be aware of weather and wind conditions through this weekend as well as water levels.  Things happen quick on this system, and we want our anglers to be aware of these things at all times for their safety.

Below is what you Need To Know coming into the event.

– Registration is closed and as of now we have 84 Anglers (unofficially) from all over the country!  Your support of this series is amazing, and I appreciate all of your dedication and desire to fish with us!

– Practice ends at 4pm on Friday.  This means back at the launch by 4. Done scouting, graphing and fishing. Off the water.

– The drive thru check-in will be at the Pickwick Lading State Park: 116 State Park Rd Counce TN 38326, officially starting at 5 and runs until 7pm CST.  Arriving early will not help you get checked-in early. We ask that anglers don’t get out of their vehicles during this process.  We will begin lining vehicles up around 430 as they arrive but will not begin before 5.

– We will be checking anglers in, verifying their METAL ketch board, distributing Day 1 and Day 2 IDs and award our random draw winners some great prizes from our Sponsors during the Drive-thru check-in process.

-We will have BOS hats and T- shirts available while supplies last at $20 apiece.  I will have a couple custom Ketch X boards for sale as well. I do not have Tourney Tags with me this time. Sales will be cash only.

– We ask that you have your boards cleaned and dried for this check.  If you were a participant at another event this season, you DON’T need to take off your current Bump sticker, but any stickers from last year or before should be removed before you get checked.

– You can bring a board to be checked for another angler and pick up their ID, but that will be your responsibility.

– After we wrap up the drive thru, we will host a live meeting on the Facebook page around 730.  During this meeting we will go over all details for the event and weekend.  All info in this meeting is your responsibility.  We will not go over the series rules word for word in this meeting, they can be found on our website and the event page.

– Saturday night we won’t have an in-person check- in.  We will have a live Facebook meeting to go over all details from day 1, announce the Day 2 ID code, and finalize details for Sunday

-This is a reminder that anglers are responsible for verifying their launch/ access is within boundaries, legal, and public. Utilize sources such as Farwide, The Outdoor Access App and other publicly available resources.

-If anyone has equipment issues while here, please let us know and we can do our best to assist and get you back on the water as soon as possible.

Thank you all again for your support, we couldn’t do this without you.  There are going to be some hard earned and valuable Farwide AOY points from this event, as well as 3 automatic qualifiers for the Tournament of Champions on Lake Eufaula this November, with a guaranteed payout of $75,000!  We are all excited to see who ends this weekend on top!

Thanks,

Hobie BOS,

Tournament Director

The final stop of the 2021 Hobie Bass Open Series Anchored by Power-Pole, takes us to the Tennessee River on Lake Pickwick. Counce, TN will be our gracious host and where we suggest everyone tries to stay. This fishery is known for great ledge fishing, spectacular back waters, ample vegetation and quality Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass.  This time of year can sometimes present challenging conditions as fish spread out, but with so much at stake we know our anglers will reap the rewards of this TN River fishery.

Anglers will be competing for a cash payout of 10% of the field, and the top 3 non- qualified anglers will earn their spot in our Tournament of Champions this November on Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, AL.  Many random giveaway prizes will be awarded as well.

Event Headquarters: Pickwick Landing State Park 116 State Park Rd. Counce TN 38326

We encourage all of our anglers to stay with us in our host community of Counce TN. Camping and lodging at Pickwick Landing is our top suggestion.
