Angler of the Year
AOY will be calculated as the Culmination of points from up-to 5 Total events consisting of up-to 4 Opens and the TOC. Anglers are encouraged to fish more than 4 opens, but points will only be counted for the 4 highest open finishes during the season.”
AOY will be calculated by the highest cumulative score and doesn’t put additional value on number of events. If an anglers’ score for 3 events is better than an anglers’ score for 4 events, they will be placed higher.
The top 225 anglers in each open will receive points for their finish. Points will start at 225 and go down 1 point per position. There will be no points given to an angler that doesn’t submit fish. If there is an unbreakable tie, anglers will be awarded the same point total.
- Any Ties in points after the final Open event will be broken by highest event finish.
- Any ties for AOY after the TOC will be broken by the angler that finishes the highest during the TOC.
